Hospital Support

An Age Concern volunteer provides short-term support, often up to 6 weeks, for someone to prepare for, during and after a stay in hospital.

This can include packing and preparing for hospital admission, visits during a hospital stay, and support at home after hospital discharge including help with light housework, basic food shopping and simple meal preparation. 

A £5 visit fee is charged. Recipients of pension credit receive a 50% discount.
